We want our full-service manufacturing program to begin serving you at the very moment you have a new product idea. As soon as we know what you need, we put our engineers in the F&RP Research and Development Center to work to design and develop it.
Our goal is always to develop and manufacture the best performing product at the lowest possible cost for every application. To achieve that goal, we must often customize our manufacturing process and even innovate the new materials that may be required for a special custom product. As a result, we have created several patented and proprietary alloys in close collaboration with our customers.
Once we have developed a custom product for you, we put our laboratory to work to test it in accordance with rigorous standards and test methods. We check every performance detail. Then, we recheck every detail.
We use Statistical Process Control and Statistical Quality Control to spot any condition in our manufacturing process that needs attention or adjustment before a defective product can ever be manufactured.
Once your custom product is manufactured in natural or perfect match pre-colored pellets, we deliver it to you on schedule through our full-service transportation network.
We not only focus the combined resources of the F&RP Division on your custom product needs, we also give you the combined resources of the entire $1.6 billion worldwide enterprise. Staying close to the customer has been a Ferro tradition since the corporation was established in 1919. Today, several business units operating throughout the world work together to serve every Ferro customer. For example, in addition to our own Research and Development Tech Center in Evansville, Indiana, we also use the advanced research that is conducted for all Ferro divisions at the Posnick Center of Innovative Technology in Independence (Cleveland), Ohio.
